August 28th - Girl Scout Day Rock the Mic: Hip Hop / Jazz Fusion Workshop
Girl Scouts and their friends are invited to "Rock the Mic" during a Music Workshop with local musician "Lila" and the
Hutchison School Orchestra at Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library.
This Girls Only Workshop is being presented for Girl Scouts Heart of the South members as well as non-members.

July 29, Thursday to August 1, Sunday – G.E.A.R, Canopy Tour, Middleton, TN
Girls in Extreme Adventure Recreation! We’re going extreme on this world class zip line canopy tour at Banning Mills, over Georgia’s Snake Creek Gorge! We’ll conquer the High Tree Trek, Gorge Traverse, featuring miles of cable and wood bridges and zip lines crisscrossing back and forth over the gorge and ranging in heights from 50 to 100 feet! Outcomes of the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience: Discover: 1,2,3,4, and 5, Connect: 1,2,3,and 4 and Take Action: 2 and 3Participants must be 12 years or older at the time of the trip. Adult chaperons must be 25 years or older.
Where: Banning Mills, Whitesburg, GA
Time: Thursday – Sunday
Who: Cadette, Senior, Ambassadors and Adults
Cost: Approximately $350 per girl, This includes: food, lodging, travel, and activity fees. Any additional items such as souvenirs or additional snacks will be individual’s responsibility.

July 30, Friday to August 1, Sunday – Camp CEO, Kamp Kiwani, Middleton, TN
CEO Camp is a wonderful way for 24 teen Girl Scouts to exclusively engage with approximately 24 of Tennessee’s and Mississippi’s most accomplished top women executives during a weekend at camp. They’ll get an inside look into the women’s successful careers, including challenges they faced, choices they made, and skills they developed. Sessions focus on building leadership, professional skills, personal finance, and positive self image. Selection will be based on civic and community involvement, demonstrated leadership, character, and citizenship. Applications will be available on our web-site early February.
