In order to view and print the downloaded documents, you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader (version 6.0 or higher) and access to a printer. Acrobat Reader users have the ability to complete the form directly within Acrobat Reader prior to printing it. Please note, Adobe Acrobat Reader cannot save the information you entered into the application form.
If you don't have the Acrobat Reader, you can obtain the most current version free of charge via the Adobe web site (installation instructions are also provided): http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
Some helpful tips for downloading our documents are provided below. Once you have a copy on your local hard drive, you can view the form and print out several or all pages by using Acrobat Reader.
Some helpful downloading tips
Note that our forms are in the PDF file format, so you will need the proper version of the Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Do not try downloading the application until the proper version has been installed.
When you click on the download link for either version of the application, one of two events should occur:
- If you do not have the Acrobat Reader plug-in for your web browser installed: A window should appear with an option to save it to a directory on your hard drive. After saving the file to your computer, you can open the PDF file using the Adobe Acrobat Reader. Double click on the Acrobat Reader icon to run the program. Once it has finished loading, select "Open" from the File menu.
- If you have the Acrobat Reader plug-in installed: After the download completes, the forms should be displayed in your browser window. While you can fill in the forms within your browser, you would likely find it better to save a copy onto your hard drive. To save a copy of the PDF onto your computer, click on the small floppy disk icon on the toolbar just above the displayed application and save it to a directory on your hard drive. To open the saved application, double click on the Acrobat Reader icon to run the program. Once it has finished loading, select "Open" from the File menu and navigate to the location where you stored the downloaded file.
- *Note: Some computers may take a while to download and open the form PDF.
You should now be able to view and print the document (you need only print the pages you have to mail). If you are still having problems with the Adobe reader, visit Adobe Customer Support.
Council Forms listed in green are provided as interactive PDF documents. You will be able to complete these forms on your computer to then print or return electronically. You MUST remember to SAVE your completed form in order to retain the information you input. A best practice with these types of forms is to save the form to your computer before you begin to complete it. Then, go to the location where you saved the document and complete it, remembering to save your work as you go.
